Similar slits can be defined as the slits that have:
The same width, material.
PLUS
Slitting provides the user with this similar slit combining facility. After slit
input click on the
button.
this will cause all the similar slits present in the slit table to be combined into a single slit whose quantity will be the sum of individual slit quantities.
Example:
Slit | Width | Quantity | Material | Remarks |
S1 | 300 | 10 | er12 | Slit1 |
S2 | 300 | 7 | er12 | |
S3 | 300 | 15 | er12 | Slit3 |
S4 | 500 | 10 | er12 |
Suppose we have three similar slits( i. e. S1, S2 and S3 in the slit table, note slit S4 is different because its Width is different ). Upon clicking the Combine Slits button the three slits will be condensed to a common slit with the name S1 and the quantity will be 10 + 7 + 15 = 32. The remarks column will display the remaining similar slit names with their individual quantities.
Slit | Width | Quantity | Material | Remarks |
S1 | 300 | 32 | er12 | Slit1 [S2-7-] [S3-15-Slit3] |
S4 | 500 | 10 | er12 |
Note that the remark column of the Slit 1 is changed. It contains information about slits combined with it.
